I will go out on a limb, and guess that the 3.73s (ring and pinion) are used (what kinda mileage,and what about brand) and the bearings and install kit were lying around, and are new in the box. How much for the 97' SS ecm?

 

gears are like new ,3000 miles install kit is used but is in box all you need is a seal and some silicone gasket sealer. 155.00 and pay shipping,thanks ,Jake
