1st gen vert stolen in DFW area..

I got this off another list, but was hoping that everyone would keep their eyes out for this car- this is the e-mail I received:

"Just to get let you know, my car was stolen this morning at 5:30 a.m.
> It was by two white dudes in an unmarked tow truck. They backed up
> into my driveway, lifted it, and took off. Cristi woke up and heard
> something, but by the time we got outside, they were pulling away. It
> was too dark for a license plate reading. The cops showed up 10
> minutes later, but advised that it doesn't look good for classic cars.
> They advised that I should tell everyone I know, that way I have more
> eyes that might perhaps see it on a used car lot, or for sale on a
> street corner somewhere. They will probably paint it very soon and
> change the vin number with a auto-salvage camaro. So if you see a 69
> camaro convertible with a black interior for sale in the next few
> weeks, (any color and any color top as they broke into it on Sat.
> night by cutting the top) please call me on my cell and I
> will go by and see it I'll contact the police. Please take down my
> cell number just in case, you never know. Thanks I'll let you know
> if the police recover my baby! Please do not reply to all. thanks"

This is a friend of a friend so send me an e-mail if you have any info and I'll forward it on. Just trying to help out a fellow car guy that got F'd over...

Thanks,

Jeremy
