do you believe???

the first thing i thought when i read it was :

"do i believe this guy?"

i mean, this is teh intarnet. ;-)

retards post stuff way way way way way oh so too much.
did he really do it? is he really a porter there who got to drive
a new cobra the 45 feet from the washbay to the make-ready
department and therefore posts a huge story about his
'test drive'????

as far as legal action against the dealer, it will have to
be proven....and a post on the net is lightyears from proof.
people post to impress people they dont know and the
idea that he was telling the truth kinda makes me laugh...

just my .02

on the whole porter issue..
i was a porter at Tom Light Chevrolet a while back, and you wouldn't believe all the $hit I see cars go through...dont bother breaking in new cars...they are allready taken care of for you..especially when its an Fbody or a car with the least bit of power....ridiculous
Rick
ps. back when I was too lazy to change my own oil I had problems with "mechanics/techs" wanting to abuse my car....
I do have on the other hand wonderful "tech/service writer" experiences, it all depends on who you go to and what type of training they have received....its a 50/50 deal...you can't make generalizations based on one dealership...

Everyone should say "Screw Red" and all of his crappy dealerships and high prices and lame *** customer service and buy from places like Gunn where the service is good and you know they are not out there killing your car.

Red McCombs pontiac is the WORST place to buy a car. And it sounds like other Red dealerships are run the sam way. My dad bought his Firehawk from Red (ONLY because it was the only dealership that could get him one in like a 200 mile radius. Trust us we tried going everywhere else.) If you want to hear a really long maddening story I could tell you one but lets just say thier first offer was $44,000!!!!!!!!!! No he didn't pay that, he ended up at 1000 over invoice but that was after WEEKS of negotiations. And the lies that everybody at the dealership told. Had to were waders around there it was getting so deep. Just venting again.

Angry thats a dealership for you

I sold cars for a while when I quit college. I could tell you worse stories than that. I sold a Man a used (01) Gt. He wanted to pick it up the next day with his daughter( birthday suprise) In the mean time a freaken porter decided to take it to lunch. He wrapped it around a pole 10 yards from the dealership. Needless to say when I purchased my car from work. I didn't even let them drive it to "Make Ready". Not everyone who works in dealerships are slime. (i.e- I made some good firends.) But alot of slime is hired. I quit, went back to tech, and will graduate in the spring.
Paul
P.S- I hope Texas Tech gig's aTm. Go raiders!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Funny

Northside Ford just called to remind us that the 12,000 mile maintenance is due on my wifes Mustang and said that they had an opening next Tuesday. The lady was nice on the phone so I was nice back but I politely explained that I do all the work on our cars and there is zero chance I will ever take the car in there. She said she would update their records and wouldn't bother us anymore.

I guess there service department is hurting for business.

NS Ford isn't the only ones abusing Cobras....I've run into one here...let just say the outcome wasn't pretty for him

I told him he might want to get it checked...something doesn't seem right when a <cough> stock Trans Am beat up on a supercharged Cobra....he asked what that noise was coming out of my hood and I said it was my water pump

Cobra's can still to the ATI'd LS1

8# Procharger
