03 Cobras abused at NS ford...
Just spreading the word about this whole issue. I think every UBB in the country has seen it. Pretty messed up stuff, if they don't fix it they are going down the toilet fast.

I think the threads aren't working because of the massive traffic they are receiving. Basically at Northside Ford a techie took out a woman's 03 cobra, got it up to 140 mph, and then came and bragged about it on one of the Stang forums. A friend of the woman saw the post (the techie was dumb enough to post her plate #s) and told her about it. She then went to NS ford and he was fired after some convincing. They offered her a free oil change and that's IT!!! So she is pursuing legal action now.

DAMMMMMMMMM
I'd be getting a new car! ****ing techs ragging on the cars. Bastards. That's why I do all my own work now! Won't even let the people at discount drive my Fox into the bay. Here is one of the reasons why.

Not to turn this into a Discount Tire bashing thread but they pissed me off today for the second time in a couple months. This guy tried to tell me that it would be $almost 50 to mount and balance two drag radials because they were 17". I had four 17" wheels and tires mounted and balanced not long ago for $40. I guess the price went up with inflation. I read some of the Mustang threads earlier and that is some messed up crap.
Man does that suck or what?!?!?!?! I had a similar thing happen to me. You know it happens all the time but bragging about it on the internet???? I used to have an Talon (yeah yeah go ahead and laugh but it was a fun car for a young kid) I took it in to a shop to have the timeing belt replaced. I get a call from my friend the next day saying he saw me on 281 @ Encino Park and that I halled a** at the light (my plates so it was definately mine). He tried catching me but he said after he hit 100 he just tried to follow (so the guy was doing 110 about ). So he manages to keep up until it pulls into, were else, the shop I had my car at. So he goes in and asks if I was there picking up my car and of course I wasn't . Long story short I confronted them and they apologized knocked some money off the price and I let it go (I was getting rid of the car anyway so I guess I didn't care but still REALLY made me mad a first). I would be really ticked if it happened to the SS.
She found out pretty early on through some of the people she talks to here and on that board. This story is all over the internet on f-bod sites, BMW , Toyota, Honda, pretty much any car enthusiast board has a story or link about. This is getting huge! Too bad it had to happen here in SA.
Northside Ford
They won't go out of business over this but I bet it does hurt their business some. Red Mccombs (owner of the Minnesota Vikings and owner of about 8 dealerships in San Antonio) owns Northside Ford and I'm sure he can afford to lose a little money.
We actually bought my wifes Mustang at this dealership last September and the sales staff treated us great. They gave us a great deal on both the Mustang and our trade. They sent us a coupon for a free oil change. My wife works close to the dealership and she wanted to drop it off before work to get the oil changed and then pick it up 9 hours later when she gets off work. I told her heck no and that I don't trust them to have the car for that long and that I'll change the oil myself. I guess my instinct turned out to be pretty good.
I've had problems with other Red Mccombs dealerships. I bought my Formula used from Red Mccombs Isuzu and the guys were real a**holes. If it wasn't the exact car I was looking for I would have walked away. Also Red Mccombs Superior Pontiac's service department is full of a**holes also. I'll never go back there again. They are money hungry and will try to get out of fixing stuff under warranty. I had the car in to get a few little things fixed and I also wanted them to fix the warped rotors. They tried to charge me a couple of hundred dollars to turn the rotors and said they aren't covered under the warranty. I ended up calling the GM hotline and they ended up doing it for free. This was after getting in a screaming match with the service guy.

I went into Red Mccombs Pontiac to get an estimate on some body work and they were a bunch of useless POS A$$H**Es. I have heard alot of horror stories about them, so this doesn't really surprise me. I won't be taking the escort there any time soon.
