Re: tinting windows

I had my daily driver done recently. 22% all around. Should have went 5% in the back.

They recommended 32% on the front windows, but I drive my car most of the time in this town and police seems to be ok with it.

I had mine done at Ziebart on Manheim Rd. in Chicago and I am not satisfied with their work.

Actually that's Franklin Park I believe. You won't find it in the phone book by looking in Chicago.

That's where I got mine tinted. Someone recommended them so I went there. Not unhappy, but it's not too good near the top of the rear glass where the little dots are in the window.

Nothing you can really do about it because of the dot matrix part of the window. Thanks GM What I do every now and then for my rear window is take a heat gun to the outside of the window and just press on the tint so that it resticks between the dots. If someone knows of a solution, please chime in cause this really pisses me off.

Re: tinting windows

Mine is the same way, but the main complaints I have is that they didn't clean the windows that well, one window has a couple of scratches on the tint and they cut the tint a little short in a few spots.

As for the dot matrix, I've heard some people paint over it.
