For obvious reasons, (45 degrees at 2:00 PM CDT, heavily overcast skies with a 10 mph wind and a 60% chance of more rain tonight), the scheduled Test-and-Tune program on Wednesday, October 14th, at Gateway International Raceway in Madison, Illinois, has been cancelled. This is only the third complete washout of Street Car Shootout Series racing in 2009.

The Monster Energy Drink Midnight Madness season finale is still planned for Friday, October 16th.

It's important to remember the season's final event in the Street Car Shootout Series, Doc's Harley-Davidson Street Bike Shootout and open testing will be next Tuesday, October 23rd. For what it's worth, the long-range forecast shows clear skies and 69 degrees for the season-ender.

Gates open on Wednesday at 5:00 PM with racing from 6:00 PM until 11:00 PM.
