Looks like sunny with 0 percent chance of rain tomorrow. Guess where I'll be.....Muncie. Bout time the rain backed off, I was getting so sick of it. I would think there is gonna be a good amount of racers there being that the weather was so crappy the last few weeks.

 

Good luck down there tomorrow. I should be back on the road in about a week. And will be at muncie on the 9th for the friday night races.

 

Ill be there the 9th also.......we should caravan down. Duey was telling me you hadnt even got your tranny shipped yet.....have you gotten it by now?

What'd you end up running last night Mark?

 

I ran it 7 times.....worst was a 13.877 best was a 13.830 at 101.56 mph talk about consistency ehh? I think with a little more practice and if I remove my pass. seat again ( had it in last night) I can hit 13.7xx with this setup. Last night was the busiest by far I have ever seen muncie......were talking cars backed up 50 feet outside of the staging lanes.....oh and one downside to last night was that I friggin scratched the paint and took it off near the bottom of my back bumper....I backed into a wooden pole with a sign on it, it was really dark and I couldnt see it with my windows up with my tint.......but oh well life goes on.

 

those times aren't bad at all. I think I'm gonna order my 3.73s tomorrow and have them put on next week. I hope to get off work so I can go down on the 9th with you and Dan. I probably end up taking a half day and leaving at 5.

 

cool......your gonna be one quick ****.......If you dont mind me asking though....what made you start modding your car, seems like last year you didnt give a dang about your car and going fast....now in friggin 1 or 2 months time you done blew by me.

 

All it took was goin to muncie one time and I was hooked. I thought workin on these cars was gonna be rough but I started helpin Dan and found it was pretty easy. So I bought a few mods and now I'm hooked.

 

cool cool......I think I'm gonna go get a quote on gears and install from epp tomorrow. To make things interesting with your mods now and the addition of gears (no nitrous!) vs my car in its current state with gears heads up on the 9th for 20 bucks. I'm not talking about who gets the best et....its about et and reaction time....overall best time wins (first guy at the line) So what do ya say......are ya down? Basically what it will come down to is if headers or tires are more important. This is all based on if I do get my gears in and retuned pcm done by the 9th though. Just a little friendly wager.

 

dude are you serious? can I take out my seats and stuff too?

I would avoid EPP like the plague! I have many reasons! I would try to find somebody else to install those gears for you.

Who should I go to then??? I have no clue who would do a good job. Are they bad on their installs or what?

Dan: Errrr.....I'll have to say no to that one......I dont think I would stand a chance in hell against you...your gonna be 12's easy all motor I would think....me......13.5 or better is all I'm really hoping for.
