call speed inc. and see what they say. I asked them before and you might just get a scanner in the car. Also what's nice is if your car is lowered, it dosn't have to be on the dyno for the sniffer. Make sure the check engine light isn't on.

emissions test in Illinois? Am I reading this right? I lived in IL for 19 years and never heard anything of an emissions test!!! I live in Jersey now where it's mandatory every year, and I want to get my car registered in IL again so I don't have to do this emissions test! It's legal for me as well since I'm in the military..just gotta find the time and money to go home and do it! I think someone is pulling your leg dude... unless if they changed it in the past few months and I never heard anything of it!

Well maybe I'm wrong. I just saw you live in Chicago so maybe the test is in certain parts of the state. Good luck!

Yeah, depending on where you live, it determines if you get your car tested or not. The farther from Chicago, the less likely you will need to get it tested.

Only the 6 Chicagoland counties have emmisions in Illinois. Its based on population and around 80% of state's entire population is in the Chicago area.

Yes I took the emissions test about 5 months ago. I have the XE 224/230 and I passed with no problem. If you do have any problems, call Speed Inc. ( www.ls1speed.com ) I think they will be able to tune your car to pass emissions.
