Help

Hey, I was wondering my plates for my z expired last year in august but my motor and trans were out and i had half the money i needed for my car and now i have it almost done can i just go to them and ask for a plate becuase i have been lucky in not getting a ticket for expired plates becuase it sits outside do i just tell them that the car is not running and i needs plates or what?

If IN is anything like IL, it doesn't even matter if it is running. Just take the old registration or the title to the DMV and get new plates.

should be, renewing is renewing. doesnt matter if the car was running or not. if you keep the same plates all you should need to do is renew the tags
unless they changed plate designs like they recently did here in IL, then they will charge you for the new style
