Cook County Sherrif Got Me

I was on my way home from my friends work, and i was on I-55 going home towards LaGrange road, and there was a cook county sherrif sitting in the middle, and i seen him, but it was too late.
I knew he was coming, so i was trying to get off t the LaGrange rd exit, because he was stuck with traffic and couldnt get out right away, but he got me.
He said he could of took me to jail last night, because he heard my exhaust and new i was trying to run, but he ended up giving me a ticket.
I just got a ticket like 3 months ago, and am going to traffic school this Sat for that ticket, and now i got this one.
He gave me a ticket for doing 80 in a 55, what do u guys think, is my license gonna be gone..thats what everyone has been telling me, there like your probably gonna lose it for like 3 months, or have to pay a pretty big fine.
But im done driving my Z for a while, since my parents took it from me, which is understandable, but anyways. Sorry for the rant guys, i just needed to get some anger and frustration out.

According to the little letter I got from the Illinois Secretary of State a couple weeks ago, you've got to get three moving violations w/in 12 months from your first one. For example, I got one on June 29, 03 and one on December 24, 03. I can't get another one until June 29, 04 or my license will be suspended or revoked.

One ticket was for 10-14 over and the other was for 15-24 over, so it's a similar situation as yours.

OMG, i just got almost the same ticket also by a sheriff on I-55, but the bad news is it was for going 90 in a 55. I have the court date march 1 for this. Is my license going to be suspended or does anyone know? I think my ticket was bogus because he didn't get me on radar, and said i was pulling on him when he was going 90. Funny thing though my friends were a mile back behind me and said the cop got off an off ramp and proceded to fly towards me through traffic and was never by me until he was going probably like 100 up my ***. I literally just looked in my rearview mirror one second and the next he was there probably inches away from my bumper. So does anyone think anything will happen with a 90 in a 55 except for fines or what.

DAMN! sorry to hear bout your bad luck man. If you get a lawyer you'll be fine, you'll probably just get court supervision for a year and more driving school. I've never had bad luck on 55 at least south, I make it down to isu in about a hour-hour 10 minutes . If you haven't already invest in a good radar, i have a passport 8500 and have never ever ever ever gotten a single ticket for speeding, thing has probably paid for it self a hundred times over with how many times it's saved me.

Damn. I got pulled over for doing 69 in a 35 and got off with a ticket for 54 in a 35. the cop was my 5th grade D.A.R.E. teacher. That was in Chicago heights.

You will be fine, did the cop give you the envelope to take the drivers saftey course?? It is possible to take it again....I had it like 3 times in a four month span before.....I would just goto court, request supervision....cook county court system is overburneded with real crime so the judges usually let people go with just supervison and a small fine...My brother got busted doing 95 in a 40 and got 1 year supervision and 200 dollar fine....and he was already on supervision for a 75 in a 55 ticket.....

I have gotten a 81 in a 50, paid like $147 and it didn't raise my insurance either. Prior to that, I have gotten a 51 in a 30 and a 77 in a 55. Never raised the insurance. The funny thing is is that I got pulled over this past summer and the cop said that I didn't have any points on my license and he wasn't going to affect my clean driving record. Weird.
