Damnit, Spent the week in jail...*sigh*

heh, got out finally.

Basically Sunday morning i was out mowing grass at my moms office to help her out. After i finish i decide to head out to San Marcos and pick my girlfriend up.

Well i leave town(luling) and start out of town. As soon as i leave an officer turns around on me. Well he proceeds to follow me for about 3 minutes till i stop and get something to drink. Then he follows me till i get literally 10 feet from the city limits.

So i stop and he comes up and addresses me by name(all the cops here know me).

Anyways he has me get out and step to the back of my car. So i oblige.
Then he proceeds to tell me his is arresting me for wreckless driving??? I was like wtf are you talking about.

And he tells me that i have a warrant out for wreckless driving. When i told him i've never been stopped or cited for wreckless driving in my life, he told me that he knows. That someone filed on me and they served the warrant on October 19, the day the complaint was filed.
I told him i never got any notice to go to court or anything, and he told me they dont have to notify me cause it can be served as a bench warrant.
So anyways he cuffs me and searches the car and finds nothing.
By now im just laughing as his seargent shows up.

They proceed to tell me they have been looking for me for quiet some time.

And when i told them my mothers office is less than 1 block away from the station and my car is there almost everyday, and that they see me at the gas station almost everyday.

They then told me that i had somehow "evaded" them on those days.

Then i get smart and ask exactly why he waited so long before he stopped me.
And he told me he thought i would run and he wanted us out of town before i ran.
I told him he wouldnt have caught me anyways, and he told me he caught the last 2 that ran.
I just laughed and told him whatever.

So then i spend sunday in county. Wait till monday so i can PR bond out. But forgot it was a holiday. So i decide to wait till Tuesday and PR out, but Judge Scott bent me over.

Seems he was tired of me in the past cause i would just pay the fine as he gave it to me and walk out smiling(hes a little man with a big man complex)
So now i have no job and he bent me over.
He denied the PR bond. Then told the county that they needed to check their records to see if i didnt pay something in the past.
So i sat their till Wed night only to hear i didnt pay on somehting from like Sept of 2000.
I called b.s. on that and had my family go to my bank to get statements for that month and search my desk for any receipts.(even though i never really keep stuff like that)

So anyways they find nothing, so i sit the fines out until tonight when they let me go after i bonded out on the wreckless driving.

So i get home a second ago and find the reciept from Oct 11 2000 in the amount of $573 paid in full.

So now i am going to file suit to get my $573 back since they had me sit in jail to pay them off.
Plus i am going to fight the wreckless driving accusation. As i never did anything but rev at a friend of mine on the day of question. Plus to begin they said in their affidavit they fingered me or the guy in the truck as to who "fish-tailed" driving down the road

So they arent even sure and im going to blow this out of the water when i go to court.
Im going to hang their *** for this.

My mom said that the judge had a good time denying my PR bond.

This is my old hometown and they have always hated the fact that i didnt care about getting tickets.

And plus when i was in county all the sherrifs there cant stand my hometown cops and were all giving me legal advice about everything while i was there and when i left.
They also said the luling cops thought it was like a great thing to catch me.

So anyways now im out and im pissed off. But thanks to the guys at the county and their help im more than capable of putting an end to their fun.

On a side note i got out and some of the sherrifs have kids that get harrassed by the cops in my home town as well.(even though i kinda bring a little on myself cause i blow off their tickets and taunt them) for example ill drive through town in 1st or 2nd gear after they **** me off.

So anyways i was just venting.

maybe you should start. i hate to be the one to break it to you, but you're not going to sue the city over a 'good faith' error. my advice would be to grow up and stop acting like a child, maybe then these things won't happen.

I'm from Wimbderley. It sucked.

16, so they kept you locked up because they didn't know you had paid a ticket? Sue them. Sue them good, get the officers fired. I dunno how much chance there is but there is no place for officers and judges like that.

Yea right they tried to serve the warrant. bend them over and don't use vasoline.

Heh i didnt dissappear for that long

Anyways...

Blk97Z28.... ya they held me for a day because they said i hadnt paid a find from like Sept of 2000, which is bull cause i found the receipt tonight. Then he wouldnt PR bond me out which i dont care.

Im just mad that they can issue a warrant solely off a "credible" witness who saw me "fish-tail" that and the fact they tried to screw me over with the unpaid fine b.s. And also because they didnt even try to contact me about it, just waited for me to drive through town one day.

And Domestic... Honestly i agree that i should mature a little. Hence why they havent stopped me since late 2000. Because i did mature a little. I do mess with the cops but only because they like to screw with people here(hell even the other cops in the area dislike the luling P.D)

Also i hate the fact that the cop was hoping i would run from him. He waited till the edge of town just so that i might or something.

Damn Ford, I'm sorry to hear that.
That is the sole reason I don't want to be a cop anymore. After I spent my day in county and saw what they were really like, I didn't want to be a part of it at all. **** 'em.

Actually KC i have the upmost respect for cops. In fact i was suprised at how the sherrifs at county were. In fact most of them had become friends with the inmates there. Hell they would come over the little intercoms in the cells and just chat to the guys sometimes.

And they treated the inmates with respect and that respect ran through all of population and even lock-down.

I just have a problem with luling, and it doesnt just end with the cops here. Its everyone in this damn town. And im so glad im not around it anymore(well that much).

on a side note though. Before i got classified there was this guy next to me in the dorm next door. Well basically he was a transvestite and he would never uncover his face to eat or anything. But after they moved him to population and we all watched him walk out. We knew he was in for some major trouble.
See he had a little plastic surgery and looked like a girl(dunno how extensive the surgery was though )

I cant just imagine him getting to the back with the guys doing 25 or so. Hell they wouldnt even have to close their eyes and visualize some chick.

Talk to a lawyer... in a different area of course. Are you in college? I am positive in a case like this a law professor would give you sound advice or direct you; at least mine would. I would jump at the opportunity, sounds interesting, since I am getting into law anyway.
And...
If that happened to me something would go down, down hard. You know what I mean... I don't even want to say how pissed I would be, I don't want to give you any ideas . That is me though, I can hardly handle getting a ticket.

How arogant ! I can't believe a cop would say that. On a side note we have a major problem following the 4th amendment. I could go on...

And, uhh,,, yea, you can sue over a good faith error... And if this story is true then it was probably more than an error. I had to tippy-toe around my home town cops, my mom is involved in the local government and I had the understanding they didn't like her. I know how small town cops can be.

I don't know if it's the whole story(both sides), but I didn't think cops could do that stuff .

My dad was a cop for a while when he got out of the military and he told me some f'd up stories, he was a *****. Probably why I don't care for cops.

that's generally how it works. if you walk in and say a guy assaulted you, they would issue the warrant based on your sworn statements.

good for you. that's the first step to recovery, admitting you have a problem. the second step is working on a remedy.

just FYI, you will not be able to sue them, or even really complain for that matter. you can't sue a governmental entity for a 'good faith' error. i wouldn't even waste any effort trying because lawyers are well aware of this.

and about you running, if your reputation is obviously not that of an upstanding citizen, as you've already described, then i clearly see that officer's concern.

You my friend are an idiot. They cant take a sworn statement on a misdemeanor. Now if it was a felony hit and run I could see a warrant. If he was turned in by a citizen for "wreckless driving" they cant even ticket him for it because it was not seen by the officer himself. If it worked like that I could call in anyone and have them ticketed for anything. The law doesnt work like that. Trust me I have had my fair share of tickets.

That was not a "good faith" error. It was their error that they arrested him when he already paid the tickets he sat out and they can only question him about a reported incident. My roommate is Ft. Worth PD and he just said that he'd get his *** chewed if he pulled a stunt like that.

If all he said is true then the city owes him his money back and possibly some monetary repayment for him losing his job. Oh and yes... you can sue a goverment entity.

No my reputation is merely that i just get alot of tickets around here. Hell im stopped before the cops even turn around when they catch me. And i walk into court and dont b.s. the judge i just tell him i did it pleade nolo contendre and ask what my fine and or punishment is.

It was hard to put into words but basically from what the cop told me i derived that he WANTED me to run. Not that he knew i would or anything.

And after i was in jail yes i understood how they can serve the warrant like that. I was just merely upset that they told my family they could never get a hold of me. Which is bull.

Then basically i just want my money back since i had to sit this out in the jail there since i paid it.

Domestic like i told KC i have the upmost respect for cops. Hell i know the troopers in the area by first name. And they will walk up to the car and greet me by name and b.s. with me outside the car. Though they usually just stop me for no front plate. But they usually never even bring it up. They just stop me talk to me, bs a little and let me go with just a short conversation about my plates.
My parents were cops and my dad still is. But i just have a problem with the cops in my hometown. And like i said so do the other cops in the area, they dont like em either.

O and Jookieboy sad part is after a while you dont even smell it anymore. I guess thats bad huh?
