A couple of us from the Illinois Camaro are trying to get a club display together for the upcoming Chevy/Vette Fest going on the weekend of November 22nd and 23rd (21st is for setup) in downtown Chicago, IL at McCormick Place.

So far we have 4 2nd Generation Camaros and 3 4th Generation (all LS1s) Camaros that are currently ready to display, while we need a minimum of 8 total cars in order to enter as a car club.

If any of you are members, or are interested in joining the club to display with us, please feel free to email me or post up. We more than likely will be registering sometime this week in order to assure we can display all together as a club.

If you have never done the Chevy/Vette Fest, it certainly always is a great show, and a great place to meet fellow owners. Plus, the ICC has a lot of member benefits, many events during the good weather months, and most of all a great car club atmosphere!

I would join but my car isnt "showroom quality" (dirty engine bay and interior etc......)

 

Hey man, you don't have to be "showroom quality" just have a nice, clean car! They judge these shows by points, meaning, you are your own worst enemy! You do not compete against the other cars, just yourself. But based on the quality of your car, including cleanliness, you can get a gold, silver, or bronze award. It makes you wanna clean that car up to get a gold, though! Pretty much everybody that enters will get one of those plaques, too. No one leaves empty handed.

What the latest i can join? I get my car back from the shop tomorrow and i wanna see how clean i can get it....if i think it looks pretty good im all for it. Just so i understand there is gonna be mostly vettes there right? Also can i bring friends along with me? They dont have camaros

 

Well, I'm trying to organize everyone's registration forms by asking everyone to send them out to me within the next couple of days. We'd love to have you join in with us but we need a 100% commitment. Plus, if you're not a member of the Illinois Camaro Club you'd have to send off your club application and due, as well.

It's also an ALL Chevy show so ANY Chevys or Chevy Powered cars are eligible to show. To be in our club display, though, you have to be a club member and own a Camaro.

 

Anyone still thinking about it, I'm going to be dropping off registrations hopefully tomorrow. We've got 9 cars so far for sure(maybe 10), here's a list....very impressive cars everyone....! Greg glad you're coming out!
