Hi.

I'm from the Quad Cities, IL side, and I'm thinking about buying a 1994 blue Z28 coupe w/ 57k miles on it. The only 'thing' about the car is that the transmission was overhauled. Last Feb. the previous owner spent $1,400 doing this, and I don't know if it means the car was seriously abused.
Does anyone have any info on overhauling a Z28's transmision. Oh yeah, the tranny is an auto box..
And one more thing, if anyone is selling a used Z28 for around $7-8 grand, within 100 miles of the Quad Cities, IL(most likely the Chicago area) I'll be willing to consider buying...

I got to test drive the car today. It has a Flowmaster in it. We had a Camaro expert check it out, and he discovered some areas that had been painted over...so now we might be able to lower the price by $500! I really want this car, but you gotta play it cool with the salesman.

runs good,

i drive it everyday but i also have another car,

it'd be a hell of a car for the right buyer,
runs close to a zo6 on the street, (lost by 1/2 car) i run maybe 1 or 2 cars a month if that,
