fbodyowners.net is doing a cruise for its monthly GTG and any and all members/non-members are invited. (No Rice)

Allright, here is the info that is needed for the up-coming cruise on August 22nd.

Part 1

For the first part of the cruise, we will be meeting in Chanahon, IL. Unless Dave can think of another place to meet, we will be meeting right off of Bluff Road at Heritage Bluffs Golf course.

From here, we will head west to route 6, and from there we will continue to head west n route 6 until we hit N. Ridge Road. We will turn left on Ridge road and go several miles until you hit East Hansel Road.

From Hansel road, we will continue west until we hit Cemetery road. E. Hansel road will run right into Cemetery road, so dont worry about anything there.

Part 2

Here, we will be coming into Morris on Cemetery road, and then it turns into Armstrong Road once you get into town. Once we get onto Armstrong, this will take us under Route 47 and then bring us up on the other side so that we dont have to cross traffic.

When we get to Route 47, we will turn right and head down to W. Jefferson and take a right. This road will turn into Freemont, and then turn into Ottawa St. and then will turn into Old Stage Road. Old Stage road is the one we will take to Seneca.

Part 3

Here we will be going through Seneca and on our way to Ottawa. We will be entering Seneca on Old Stage road, which will turn into Union Street once we get into town. From Union street, we will turn left on Main street and head south across the river. Here we will turn right on River Road/ N. 2553rd road and head towards Ottawa.

Part 4

Part 4 will take us through Ottawa and put us on our way to Starved Rock. Here, 2553rd road will turn into 2653rd road and as we get into the south side of Ottawa, it will turn into McKinely Street. Take McKinely street to Route 23(first stop light) and take a right. You will go through several stop lights now and eventually we will turn left at the intersection of Route 71 and Route 23. If you go over the bridge you have gone too far. From here, Route 71 will take us right into Starved Rock.

Part 5

Part 5 will take us from Ottawa, down Rt.71 into Starved Rock. From rt.71, we will turn right on E. 875th road or the main entrance into Starved Rock. Here we can either go down to the lower area near the river and BS and look around, or we can go back up the hill and park at the lodge to look around and possibly eat.

Eating/MISC

I am going to contact Starved Rock tomorrow and check prices on eating lunch there. It would be so much easier if we could eat there instead of driving back to Ottawa. If it ends up not working out, I will set up something in Ottawa for eating.

Also, make sure you have a full tank of gas when you get to Chanahon. If you have a full tank when we start, you will make it through the whole cruise without any problems.

For the people showing up at Heritage Golf Course, I will have copies of better maps than these to hand out. The full route will be highlighted for you to see. If you have any questions I will have my cell phone listed on the top of the copied maps.

We also need a showing of the people who are going to show up so that way I can get an accurate number to give to the restaurant. We can do this here or I can make a separate post.

I will also provide a map to get you guys back to interstate 80, so that you can get home(chicago guys).
