which wires are better
which wires are better
I'm changing the plugs/wires on my '97 3.8 camaro and I was wondering what were better wires. I was either gonna purchase a set of MSD or Taylor 8mm wires along with AC Delco Rapidfire spark plugs. I also heard that I should get a set of boot covers (to protect from heat), where can I buy those?
On a side note...anyone know of the best place to get them (does autozone, pepboys or napa sell them)?
thanks,
Mark

Id go with msd wires ive heard some negative things about taylor. Im not sure where to get the boot covers but i know autozone has msd wires the cheapest ive found.

Re: which wires are better
jegs sells some fiberglass boot covers that protect up to 500* F I"m planning on using those when I put my headers on. If you look around their site I'm sure you will find them.
Re: which wires are better
The MSD's have a tendancy to melt the boots on pre 98 cars w/o tubular manifolds. The taylors are just as good, cheaper, and easy to order. get the taylors, and get NGK TR55 plugs. Excellent setup there.
