SS hoods are nice, but everyone has them. Why not buy a different hood? www.suncoastcreations.com has some good stuff, and the RKSport big block hood is sweet as well.

Man thats a shame we wouldnt want any people with 4cylinders or v6s saying they beat the almighty unbeatable v8, there are so many cool guys here with v8 who know there are some sixes out there that would give them a run for their money. Fyi just because it has 8 cylinders doesnt mean its the fastest thing on the road.
Yep,and my embarassing moment is on video I ran a crappy 9.1 and got beat by a :whisper: Civic :whisper:

I think my car looks pretty good.

Have a look for yourself and decide.

Pilotlite.....I nearly fell out of my chair when I saw your car. You have done nearly everything I wanted to do to my car! Where did you get your SS spoiler? How did you do the brakes? Where did you get your red tubing under the hood from? I noticed you also have t-tops...where do the tops go with the huge sub box in the back?

hmm ....

With full respect to the V6 crowd (I used to own a 87 RS 2.8!) I think that this is the same thing as the damn wannabe Ricer crowd that puts the Type R stickers on their cars. I think that there should be a little respect given. Like said before "Pilot" car does looks awesome, but does it look nice because it's custom or because it looks like the SS that most of us dream of owning? And every stupid *** with a fart tip has beatin' a so called "SS" and has a friend who's car can run 9's in the 1/4 mile?! I just don't like being fake, I say put some work in to her, may be a cowl some ground effects and performance mods and be proud that you can mash their 3,500 wheels, 350 exhaust, 1,200 racing seats, and million dollar neon kits with a near stock V6!!!

Either way have fun and keep the V6's flyin!!!

It pisses me off that everyone and there mother has a friend with a car that beat an "SS" and ironically enough its always a rice rocket. I get more $h!t now then when I had my V6 and yet I have only had one person line up with me (friend of mine with a 86 trans am that knew she would lose).

Anyways ya I like the look of the hood a lot. The spoiler looks cool too but I don't think it is worth what it would cost.

Cool

Josh,

To each his own! I have a 97 RS with a SS hood that is non functional. I just wanted to be a little bit different than the rest. You can see a picture of it at www.indycamaro.com/glossboss.htm

Note the picture was taken before I put the RS badges back on it.

Good luck.

Doug, very nice car. I like that hood. I wish my car would shine like that.

I think I would rather have the functional hood. Although I do have SLP Cold Air Induction along with the Whisper Lid. If I get the functional hood, does anyone know if I will still have the same performance gains as my ram air, or should I keep the ram air on it and use the hood as looks.
