Will someone please help me instead of just looking at it!

I am looking into lowering my car and i have searched the forum a fair amount and just want to know what would happen if i got 1.5 or 1.25 lowering springs and kept my stock shocks? OR would that give me the horrible ride that i see on the ricers all the time where the car is lowered but all bouncing when tehy drive! Just want to lower my car with my small pocket book becuase i am going to school! SO any help would be wicked cool! Please help me because i would be very happy if i could figure this out by christmas! Thanks WyldRyd

If I remember correctly, if your shocks are shot, lowering will reflect it. You will bounce. If the chocks are ok, you should be ok. This is what I think I have heard, but I have not lowered my car so I do not have first hand knowledge.

get some new lowering springs and check to make sure your shocks are good.
ricers cut there springs most all of the time.
don't be a ricer.
You can get some Elbach springs for V6 93-97 for $239, there good for 1''-1.5''
(you didn't say you year)
Springs for earier years are a lot cheaper, like...
cheap o intrax for $190 '82-'02

I've got some Eibach Sportlines I could let go for fairly cheap compared to new price. They are off the camaro, and were only on for 3 months or so, and the car basically sat around and wasn't driven. Pm me with an offer.

I would spens the extra money for the shocks. Your gonna be under there for the springs anyway. But yes, you will be all right reusing your old units as long as they worked well with the old springs. Mike

at the topic.

You won't bounce unless you cut your springs. I always laugh at those that do that.

If you can invest into some springs, you should be able to invest into some new shocks to match. You could just get the springs alone but I've seen two of my friend go that route only to have to change the stock shocks within a short amount of time.

Stock shocks will need to be changed soon enough anyways (they are decent units, but not great)...no better time to upgrade and install better shocks than when already under putting on new springs.
