Whats up w/ Shift Kits?

I'm looking @ a B&M shift kit, the $80 one, whats the deal w/ those? I understand that they improve the performance of the shift points but, does it apply if the shifter is in Drive?? it says normal shift points apply when in drive...so I have to shift out of 1st n up to get any gain out of this??? THANKS!

Re: Whats up w/ Shift Kits?

If you are looking at the B&M electronic one, forget about it. **** kits work by increasing line pressure in your tranny, firming up shifts, but the B&M one was poorly designed and leads to premature tranny wear.
