What would a V6 do with a T/D Exhaust Setup?

I used to own a few V6's... I'm aiming to put a TD exhaust on my Z28 however I keep wondering how would a TD exhaust system benefit a 3.4 or 3.8L should it have the rest of the bolton mods... (cai / lid, tune, headers. ect)

Would it even sound decent?

Nice, it would have been smarter to wait for dry roads though... Did that take place in Illinoise? about how much HP is he putting out?

I see, I like how Divided highways can become freeways - sorry but civil engineering has always fascinated me...

He must have really knew how to put it all to the ground - any suspension mods? stickier tires? or was it the 3800 stall and 3.73's that won the race?

I have T/D on my 2000 v6 camaro. Using stock tubular manifolds (soon to be header in a few weeks if everything goes well) into 2inch H-pipe and right after the Hpipe it turns into 2.25inch piping both pipes going over the pass. side axle. I'm using (2) 2.25inch sweetthunder mufflers also with short (2) 2inch Hi-flow cats. Sound is great when I'm not mashing it and its very loud at any acceleration, I would say normal accelerating is like open headers but cruising is quiet. When i first start it up it lobes nasty then slowly smooths out. Only other mods are lid, filter, slp cai, msd wires, ngk plugs. My first exhaust was all stock but had a 3 inch high flow with a 80 flowmaster but now with my new exhaust I have 100 times better sound and some performance. At first I flet it lost some low end but sence your car retunes itslef every 500 miles or what ever everything sence like I lost non and gained alittle more. The biggest difference is anything after 3k rpms. I dont have any new clips of it after the pipes and everything have been worked in but when the headers get on I will. I just signed up here a few days ago I normaly hang out at camarov6.com

here are some pics and clips:

I don't understand why you would use 2.25 instead of 2.5 inch piping.

um, no....a heads/cam/exhaust etc etc 3.8L is not putting out 208hp, it's putting out a lot more than that. 3.8L's put out 200hp STOCK. A 208HP camaro is not going to beat an LS1 camaro no matter what stall speed or gears it's running. It was putting out a hell of a lot more than 208hp with all of those mods

Those figures were quoted directly from the owner, so if you want to argue go talk to him. That 208 is measured at the rear wheels, not the 200 crank hp they have stock - a stock 3.8 puts down around 165 to the rear wheels. Also a high stall converter will significantly reduce the hp measured on a dyno. And finally as I said, the guy stated the dyno was after the heads/cam install but before he got it tuned.
