what will void my warrenty?
I just got done with a HUGE argument with the dealership about this subject. Apparently, anything you do to your car won't void your warranty. Now say you have a problem with your car and you take it in to get it serviced. Automatically, they're going to start screaming that the mods you've done to your car is the cause. NOT ALWAYS TRUE. They were saying to me that my Flowmaster could be the cause of my misfire. WTF??? The way their policy is...if the cause of the problem is due to an aftermarket mod, lets say an SES light after installing a cam, then YES the warranty on that repair is void. If it's not the cause of the problem, then it will be covered by GMPP. I went around and around with my dealership about my misfire problem. I went as far as to return my car to almost stock by removing the cam, MSD, cat, chip, etc... In the end it turned out to be a bad plug wire. Depending on how intense of a mod you plan on doing, you increase your chances of voiding the warranty if you happen to have a problem. Like I said, immediately they're going to blame the cause on your mods without even looking at your car. So, my advise to you is to educate yourself VERY WELL before you go into the service department with a problem. Try every little trick you know of to figure it out on your own first. Like removing parts you installed and re-installing the stock. Might sound crazy, but it'll save you a lot of Prozac dealing with Service Tech's.

I've only got 10,000 to go!!! Believe me, I'm driving EVERYWHERE!!!
If I had to do it all over again and I had a warrenty I would just leave it stock till it is over, or things start braking and need to be replaced like a muffiler or such.
The dealer is going to do everything possible so they dont have to cover things, my father has had fights with this one dealer over everything on the Astro, even the fact that the muffiler crapping out at 10,000 miles and they didnt want to cover it
