what is this thing?

It fell down when I took out the air dam (I was replacing a blown DRL). I couldn't find any place to put it back, so for now, it's sitting here on my desk...

no idea, but how big is it? it looks rather large

just think of it as weight reduction

im gonna guess it is just something to keep dirt/water from getting somewhere , just take a look around some more, im sure you will find where it should be

You have to copy and paste it.

I have no idea what that part is, but I can tell you the dealer will charge you at least $50 for a new one.

Ahh copy and paste, it does say that in the origional post. I guess i missed. That part looks like its worth less. I would just throw it in the garage and forget about it.
