What is this part called?
mine has melted and sometimes pops off when i start the car. trying to find out more about this part so i can replace it, anyone have any info?

That would be a vacuum line good sir. Try a bit of RTV to hold them in. I know I had to glue them to stop them from popping off from time to time. To be honest, try a junk yard. >$5 for it there

well, mine has cracked and melted and frequently pops off when i start the car, when it does this, my RPMs are high and i have to turn off the engine, go pop it back on, then restart.
aside from the cracks/melting what could be making this thing blow off when i start the car? just old and needs to be replaced?
gonna replace it anyways, just trying to understand what it is and how it works better
