oil leak

oil leak
my rear main oil seal is leaking has anyone tried bars leak rear main oil sealer to stop the leak? if so did it work? any input would be appreciated. by the way the car is a 94 camaro 3.4 with 147,000 miles.

No, "pour in engine" products won't work long-term. You need to replace the seal.

how could you tell if the oil pan is leaking or the rear seal since the leak is in the same area in back of the oil pan between the rear of the engine and the trans.
