what is normal oil pressure for 3800 v6

Hey guys, I was just wondering what normal oil pressure is for a 3800 series engine? From what the gauge reads it is around 60. When I got home from work tonight I could tell smoke was coming from under the hood by the headlights. When I opened the hood under lights if there was smoke there shouldn't be alot of it. I guess if I am losing oil I would assume the pressure would be low as well. What does anyone think?

If you have an external oil leak and it is making its way on the exhaust manifolds for example causing smoke, it still won't cause a dip in oil pressure. Pressure issues would result from a malfuntion internally such as bad/worn out engine bearings. I would look under the hood and try to see if you can visually locate an oil or even a coolant leak and go from there.

Pressure should be around 60-70 under acceleration and mine drops closer to 45-50 at idle.
