What Hooker catback for my 97 V6?

Well the only reason I wanna do this is because I planned on getting a LS1 car in about a year or less. So, I wanna buy this catback and put it on my 97 V6 car till then and transfer it to the LS1 later. I can do all this myself, so theirs no money wasted in install. I really need to know if the LS1 Hooker catback will fit on my 97 V6 I'm pretty sure I need an exhaust flange from the 2 1/4 or 2 1/2 to the 3in. system...thats no problem. Will it work?

yes it will work fine except for the size of the pipe being bigger, however thats not a big deal as you said

and you will need another hanger for the extra exhaust tip
