New 99 V6

Hey,
I am thinking of getting a new 99 V6 m5. Is there any problems with the cars that I should look for when looking at the car? Any problems that these cars typically have?
Thanks!
Mike

Nice, I've got one . There isn't really any common problems (that I know of at least) to look for on the v6. Careful when going in reverse though because the transmission either doesn't have or has a crappy synchro for reverse and it grinds very easily. Just go into another gear first and you shouldn't have a problem. Enjoy, it's not quite a Z28 but it's still quick and fun!

Yep thats one.

Another common problem is the plugs and wires. (REad the sticky at the top of this section about "the great misfire mystery") Its semi-common, but can be fixed yourself.

Other then that nothing too out of the ordinary for an f-body.

Why what would that mean?

It means oil is leaking from it. A problem I also had when I had my V6 bird.
