$500 would get some one like me a lot.
If you are help less it won't get you much.
You can all ways get a $500 part but how much will it cost install?
If asked here I'm guessing you want suspention mods or engine mods.
Get some new wheels, with that money plus more. Maybe new springs and shocks, struts.

 

I could manage to install some things on my own, as long as it doesn't require a lift to get the car off the ground to install, or heavy modification of things because we have no light duty welder or torch (it's heavy duty for welding and cutting thick *** pipe). I thought about one of those air-ride systems when I do suspension work, but I don't really see anywhere to keep the air tank, compressor and all that (my trunk is taken over by the t-tops, amps, and subwoofer).

For engine, I thought about trying to find some V6 headers to get more air out of the engine. Does anyone know a good brand that I could get that will meet up with the stock exhaust tube?

 

If it was me I would stick the money int rebuilding the suspension since factory suspension parts leave alot to be desired but that is if you want it to gofaster if you want it for showing off only you know what you like

 

suspention is cool stuff to show off.
You can't see the mirror polished combustion chambers in my car very easly. Unlike suspention parts, just get on the floor and look and you can see most of them.
You know power is power, but when your car handles like a dream it is so nice.
People that do suspention mods are generaly thought of as more of an automtive coinsure, some one with some taste.

 

Yeah, I want it to be a awesome car all around (looks, performance, handling). I think I've made my final decision on the airbas suspension from Air Ride Technologies, it seems to get real good marks. I'll just have to find somewhere to put the tank and everything, and then get around $2000 to buy the system!

well if you put take 2 of the exact same cars and dfput $500 into the suspension like control arms, subframe connectors,torque arm and so on it will beat the car that has 500 put into the engine
