Valve Lash - please help

Hey everyone I'm new here. I've got a 93 3.4 Camaro and I figured this would be the best place to get some help. I just replaced both head gaskets after warping one of them. Both were also milled .05 I believe. I started it up yesterday and it is running real rough and I'm almost positive it is because I tightened the rockers down a little too much. I did the ol turn the push rod till you feel lash method and then I set the preload. Here is where I have the question, my service manual says to turn it 1.5 turns past lash, but with heads being milled I'm guessing I went a little to far. Anybody else used any other methods that would help me out? Thanks.

yeah, it has hydraulic lifters. I adjusted them all again turning it 3/4 turn past lash and it might have helped a little. I'm beginning to wonder if that is even the problem. The car will start and idle, barely, but it basically has no power. On this car you have to remove the upper intake, fuel rail and injectors, TB, and electrical connections before you can even take the valve covers off. There wouldn't be a need for longer push rods would there? I really didn't want to have this towed into a shop, money is kind of tight right now, any more ideas?

I made sure the injectors were seated and the plugs in all the way. I recently put new MSD wires and platinum plugs on it, maybe there still could be a problem with one or more of them after sitting around a while. I'll recheck all of what you mentioned. I appreciate the help, feel free to let me know of anything else you think of.
