V8 transmission

Anyone here ever use a trans from an LT1 car and install it in a 3.8? I am looking to do the opposite. I figure if it works one way, it should work both.

V6 autos from 1993 and 1994 are a 4L60....95+ a 4L60E -- same as the V8s BUT they have different bellhousings..

The manuals are T5s in the V6s.....

with an automatic, it will work, the 4L60 is the same....however the manual LT1s were T56 6-speeds and the V6s were T5 5-speeds.

you must be a manual guy , or you would realize that the bellhousing of the 700R4 and the A4l60E are a part of the case

plain and simple , the trans will not work

in addition to the bellhousing the input shafts are different sizes

i forgot this was an LT1 thing...the LS1 4L60E does NOT have a one piece case/bellhousing. (not that it matters, just thought i'd add that. )
