Is there a difference? If so, what are they?

sort of they are the same...

but v6s, were usually drum brakes, and usually all non-LSD

some pre 97 had disc brakes and LSD... most 98+ had disc brakes but no LSD...

LSD is kinda rare on a factory v6.

Well...rearend-wise, they are the same. 28-tooth, 10-bolt, 7 5/8 rear. That is what I was referring to.

You covered differentials...

I think someone else mentioned that the braking systems are different on the rears from 93-97 to 98+. I have a 94 and looking at a 2000 V6 rearend.

Calipers mount different and I dont think swapping calipers is an option on this set up.
