V6 Times?

Hey all, I just recently got a 94 V6, 160hp, 200ft/lbs, with an A4 and I guess 3.23's. What should I expect to run in the 1/4? it has 144k miles on it so it's kinda worn and needs a decent tuneup but it feels pretty fast (though nothing like the torque of my 89 RS) So what should I expect to run? me and my friend who has a 85 T/A with an LG4 V8 were gonna run just for ***** and giggles and I really don't want to beat him....lol, but it'd be nice to pull with him in a six, ya know. So what should I expect to run with this?

well tiago turboed his and is running mid 13s, with crappy runs... but he is a bit of an exception ot the rule... not sure if you want to turbo your 144k car... They are not speeddemons but they can be fun.

Well I dunno about turbo on a 114k mile engine. However, would a 75-100 shot be all that bad? The engine runs strong from what I can tell, just needs a good tune up, would i be safe in doing the juice? I just wanna get a little bit of speed out of it. What are some of the best mods to do to a 3.4L engine, and are there any free ones?? I'm not wanting to spend a lot of money, but I'd like to tinker with it and make it a little faster, any suggestions?

if i were u, id stay away from spray. ur motor has way to many miles on it. u will fry ur pistons and prolly blow the head gasket. the only thing i would do wit ur 3.4 is put a lid and a exhaust on it give u like 10 rwhp other than that just save up until ur able to buy a new motor.

I still think with a good run you could beat the TA.

you cant put a lid on a 3.4L , just a CAI

a 75 shot would probably fry a piston, the stock pistons are **** poor

Best thing to do w/ the 3.4's is to get a CAI, i've got the slp cai and i could imediately feel the difference, catback system, headers, etc. dont' even worry about free mods cuz they make no difference really. you should have no problem keeping up w/ a 3rd gen. i can pull close w/ a lot of stock gt's throught my first 3 gears and my car has 174,000 miles on it. diffenitively do some suspension work too like panhard bar, sway bars, etc cuz these 4th gens hook up like a piece of sh*t lol. have fun. l8tr

a sway bar isnt gonna help you hook... unless we are talking about removing the front one

Well me and my friend kinda ran...we were going to the same house and he got in the other lane and had the jump...started pulling away when mine shifted...so anything's possible right about now. What's the best bang for buck CAI?? would it be teh K&N or the SLP? Also, could a chip or computer mod be done to a 3.4L? I"m gonna throw LCA and a Panhard rod on it this weekend just for the fun of it...but they'll go on my thirdgen when I get another one.
