Re: V6 supercharger compatability

Although you are including some dogs of cars in your kill list the 01 gt at least is not one of them. They hang with lt1's about even and if you do a couple MINOR mods and can run with a lt1 Id be highly impressed. I dont know of any minor mods that will plant 250rwhp in a v6 which is what a average lt1 auto would lay down.

I have owned both 3.8L and 5.7L and know when to throw the flag

Re: V6 supercharger compatability

eh.... i was in a similar situation not too long ago with my car, except i had the 3.4, which is waaay slower. switch it over to the v8 man, its a totally different world. learn how to drive your car really well with the v6, and when you bump it up to the 8, its a lot more fun. it reallt isnt that hard of a switch, and you can get a LT1 setup damn cheap. the money i have saved on insurance alone has been worth it. I have an LT1 with full bolt ons and I have $5100 invested for everything over the last 2 years and insurance is $84 a month and Im 21 with 4 tickets in the last year.......

There is a pretty big difference from '90 to '01 when it comes to the Mustangs.

99-04 have the 260 hp 4.6. My gf has an '04 'vert and bone stock it ran a 14.6. A hardtop will run low 14's stock. Plus, those motors shine from a roll. 2500-5500, they pull pretty damn hard.

Only way I could see you consistently beating them is if you are racing from a dig and they always spin bad out of the hole.

awesome. I'm glad i was wrong! Mod that V6. I was hoping for low 12's with my new heads and F13 futral cam.... if a H/C 3800 can do that, power to them!

Unlike the 3.4L/3400 v6s, you can't turn a FWD 3.8L intake around to make it fit in RWD applications. That's a bad way to start off...
accualy the block are exaclty the same..... the 3800 SC had the injecotors in the head and ours ar i nthe lower intake (makes sence cuase of the SC)

the SC can fit under the hood of the camr but not without cutting the frame

boost and cheap dont work even used kits are $1000 +
