Well this isnt a Camaro, but my friends V6 Stang is a 3.8L. He intalled a power package from supersixx (heads and cam), intake, long tube headers and a few other boltons and dynoed 200 to the rear wheels. (this is an Auto transmission)

Hes got it backed with a stout shifting tranny and 3.73s and he ran low 14s.

Nows hes got a supercharger... I wonder what he'll be running this spring.

You can see some pics and dyno sheets of his car there. That should give you an idea of what you can do with your F-body.

Oh yeah, I think the power package also came with a new intake manifold, I'm not sure. Regardless that should be about what you should expect from a V6 F-body with the same mods.

Headers have been known to give like 5 RWHP from what ive heard. The intake/exhaust and headers wont net that much hp IMO. The cam will add a decent amount depending on how big it is. Also check out Tbyrnemotorsports or thunderracing. They have a new Roller Rocker set-up for 3.8's. I've seen an article in GMHTP where they got like 13 rwhp. Not bad at all!

Re: V6 mods

I have a 2001 Camaro V6 and if your gonna get headers get long-tube. Shorty headers wont give you much horsepower. The only thing about long-tube headers is that they are illegal. But I'm getting them for my car anyways hahaha.

I was going to buy some mid-tube headers from this guy on ebay which were 50 states legal and came with a CARB#. If you want to contact this seller here's his seller name on ebay "mgh7002". I suggest if your going to get headers. atleast get these mid-tubes. He doesnt have them in stock right now cause he sold out but he will be getting some soon. Just message his on ebay and tell him that scof0elife from ebay told you about the headers.
