of the two,wich has better 1/4 mile,more power,im trying to replace my 3.8 with a 5.7 lt1,car running good,just want the extra punch,can anyone tell me if adding a super charger will get the same punch of an lt1 ona v6 3.8.thanks.

 

depends... what supercharger and how many pounds?? i would go turbo IMO. go to firebirdv6.com then to for sale section. a guy is selling a complete FFF kit (best around IMO) for a dang good price. my friend made 349rwhp with his.

 

Forced induction of any sort will definitely put you up there with the LT-1s. As stated above, it all depends though on how much boost or nitrous shot you run. An example of my own though, stock vs. stock, my GTP was not very far behind my Z-28 in terms of performance. The Z-28 was hitting 14.3-14.6s in the quarter and the GTP was getting 14.5-14.9s.

my 94 formy with 25k on the clock was able to rip off 13.7's@100mph that was with just an slp intake...my slightly modded gtp has run a best of 14.2@98mph. In the end it will come down to weight & getting the supercharged car tuned & what mods/shape the lt1 car is in.
