V-6 SUPERCHARGED vs. LT1

ya this guy has a 99 camaro with flowmasteer, RK sport LT headers, and the Pewerdyne blower from Rk sport. I have no clue how fast it will be, but look at my mods and see who u think will come out on top.

Money on you.

If he was on the bottle then it would make it more interesting...

His setup is good for around 250 to 270 HP at the most and so long as he hasn't gone crazy with weight reductions or a torque converter then you should be able to take him.

i didnt even know rk sport had LTs. thats interesting!! but then i have been out of the V6 world for a while now. but i do know that in my V6 i would have taken you on and put money on me. what i am saying is that i would be careful with a properly modded 6 (not many out there, but still there) against an LT1 anyday.

what do you run?

I see him off the bottle at mid to hig 13s if tuned correctly.

Funny... awhile back someone posted about a supercharged v6 in texas challenging him to a race, guess this guy gets around.

IF his car is actually tuned "properly" for that blower set-up, it ought to be close...

I'd assume both of you are in the high 13 to low 14 second range looking at your mods relative to your cars...

I'll still put my $$$ on your LT1 though...

I think it'd be a little closer than everything thinks. GMHTP got 13.8 from a reader's supercharged 3.8 camaro with a similiar setup. I'd put my money on the LT, given the drivers are even though.

I dont know my friend SC 6. It was the meanest purple bird, was mean as hell. Then he took it off because the belt kept slipping. I still think he had a chance at low 13's with 6lb boost. His car launches like mad.

Drive train is not everything. It plays a role but not that big of one. Think about it I have 2.73s and 2400 stall and cant hook because of all the tq I make. so your saying stuff some bigger gears in so I spin more.....??????? gears are not that important but traction is.

I might as well just turbo charge the v8 with half or even a quarter of the psi you plan to run on your v6's, and a few bolt on's for me, then you will be crying to your mommys and daddys to finance you a v8.
isn't mommy buying you a v8 and paying all your bills?

did anybody else notice he said *99* camaro
if it is a 99, then it's an ls1, not an lt1
and if that's the case, i bet my life savings on the ls1

UMM correct me if im wrong but that *99* he is talking about is the supercharged v6...I thought..his sig says 93TA I interpreted that to mean he has a 1993 Trans Am with the Lt1...the 99 is running the 3.8L L36...I think this is right
