I have a 96RS that seems to be gulping coolent!! I don't see it leaking anywhere and there is no indication that of coolent in the oil. Where could it be going?? I can also smell antifreeze when it heats up.

It's not leaking into the car through the heater core?

 

Checked that... but after letting it heat up I looked underneath and there is a steady stream of coolent dripping off of the skid plate near the front of the car?! Does this sound like anything major (headgasket??) or is more along the lines of a hose? I just started this 2 days ago.. I changed the oil and it looked fine. I can't get a good look at where it is dripping from.. I think my RS needs a lift kit!!!!

 

mine did the exact same thing, iut turned out to be a freeze plug had a tiny whole in it.
BUT if it only leaks occationally when it starts to heat up then its your water pump i bet. Might try to see if thats it.
