I want to add a new motor to my boat and was thinking of a turbo V-6 and looking through my GM Auto Repair Manual ther is a 89 231 3.8 SFI that has 250 HP @4400 RPM 340 lbs torque @2800 but I don't know what it was in A foot note says to refer to the Buick section for repair procedures so was it in a REgal? What other V-6 motors are there to use? right now I have a volvo 4 banger which is a Chevy block so the outdrive should match up ok. What can I do?

 

It was from the Buick Grand National there was also a Turbo Trans-am...I forget what year..maybe '89

 

there is also the SC 3.8 on the pontiac GTP's. puts out 240 @ 5200rpm 280 @ 3200rpm.
