i have a 1995 V6 A4(see sig) and my fog lights wont work when i turn on the switch what could be wrong with it???

also i looked in the fuse box but cant find the fuse switch which one is it???

 

The bulbs could also be burnt out. That is a factory option on those older bulbs. Look on the panel that contains the fuses. It should have a map on what each on is. I'm leaning towards the bulbs being burnt out. When was the last time you changed them out of curiosity?

Yeah. Check the fuse first since that is the easiest. If not....well it's not pretty. Changing the bulbs in the older style is a PITA. But worth it since you get some extra light to help with those sorry foglights.

 

There is also a fog lamp relay in the underhood electrical center. Most of the relays are the same, so you can temporarily swap another in to see if it works. You should hear the relay click when you turn on the fog lamps.

 

ill turn on the low beams and flip the switch for the fog lamps and nothing happens but ill check the things you listed

 

hey guys i removed the fog lamps and found that one bulb was broken and the other was burnt out so i replaced them with 2 new bulbs and the fog lamps work great
