Press the button on the dash. I don't know exactly where it is, but it's what you gotta do.

I don't think the 3.8s have the ASR switch.

Did V6's come with traction control...

At least my 99 Firebird didn't have it. Well..., it wasn't fully loaded anyway...

Also, you might want to ask the guys in the V6 Tech. They are more familiar with the situation, I'm sure.

My 97' V6 had traction control but it didn't have a button to disable it. I don't think you can do it with the flip of a switch either.

Yeah they(mine does) have TC,no button. Not sure how to disable it though sorry. It would be alot easier to get the tires going w/3.42 rear gears,I found and alot of Mods too...especially for the auto the sticks are pretty easy to break loose.Try v6 tech

Traction Control

Mine has an ASR button next to the fog light button. I also have Y87, if that makes a difference.

i dont think u have asr, if you dont have the button. check right behind the batter for the tcs module. IF you think you have traction control because you see the low traction light, you dont.

it wont burnout because the engine wont let it get above 2 grand. Watch it the next time you do it, I bet it will sit at 2 grand. If you want to burn out, put it in 1st, hold the brake and gas, and then gradually let of the brake, then all of a sudden let it go, and enjoy the fun.... it will probably take you a few tries, but eventually you'll get it. It took me a while, but I got the hang of it. I dont have a traction control button either, but I still think there is something there preventing it from spinning.

My car has traction control and a toggle switch to turn it on and off right infront of my shifter. I believe the toggle switch says "tcs" on it.

well i was at my car club meeting last night and was talkin to a few guys in the club about it. well one guy took alook at my fuse box inside the car but the tcs fuse slot was not in there. so we popped the hood and looked at the main fuse box. we found the slot for tcs fuse but there was no fuse in it. my tcs works, but how does it work with no fuse in it. a couple buddies suggested taking a fuse and putting it in the slot and maybe that would cut the tcs off. what do you guys think????
