TPS sensor...worth it?

only downside could be running some seriously bad emmissions at high rpms and could this screw my computer up by messing with the throttle like that?

I've seen these before. What they do is that at a certain percentage of throttle application (looks like 50% for this one), they tell the computer that the car is running at full throttle, and adjust the timing as such.

Will you see a performance gain? Midrange, yes, you will. But not in terms of peak power, like you would with a true computer chip, which changes timing and fuel curves throughout the rev range.

If you're set on getting one of these, you can get one through Jeg's, I think. A company called Caspers Electronics makes them.
