top speed?
Well I understand that there is a governor on these cars... but my speedo goes to 120 and 5 past that ( not numbered ) and i burried it going up the NY through way late one night ... a guy was tailgating at 70mph and no one was around other than us... so i pushed it..... i know what i saw 125mph and still had a good amount of pedal left.. now maybe the governor was kicked in slowin me down, or maybe i had more left.. i dunno.. no one needs to believe me cuz my wife was asleep in the passenger seat..... wished i had a ss though.... my v6 handled so well at that speed.... hugged the road... was not scary at all.... but slight touch of the steering wheel and in the next lane you went!!!!!
i got to my destination normally in 5 1/2 hrs... got there in 4hrs 10 minutes... the wife was ticked!!!!!

actually just yerterday i had my V-6 up to 115MPH!
i backed off because i didn't want to hit the gov. but i could feel that my car had plenty of life yet, which was to my surprise!
but even at 115 my car felt VERY stable. . . which was also to my surprise!
i held 115 for about a good mile, then let off until i got back down to about 65.

Rootbreaker,
The factory set the speed limiter on the V6 camaros/firebirds to 117. As far as I know there are no exceptions. I'm not calling BS because it's very possible if you bought the car used that the previous owner disabled the limiter for you.
Sounds like it was a nice run. Glad to hear you didn't get a ticket.
