Question Timing belt!!!!

Hey guys, i just bought a '96 Camaro 3.8L and i'm wondering if i have to replace the timing belt after 100,000 kms or did the '96 come with a chain? I checked the owners manual and it didn't mention anything about replacing it. Should i still?!?!

All GM cars have timing chains, unlike Hondas which have timing belts

A belt is good for 60,000 miles and a chain is usaly good for 100,000 miles.

inncorrect, my friend's oldsmobile had a belt.. it snapped when he was driving down the road

i have 120K on my stock timing chain.. they can last a lot longer than 100K, although its probably streched some, (while im on the subject, my dad has over 177K on his stock timing chain)
