for those swapping motors

pulling the whole thing out the bottom is definetely the ticket. there was a thread a while back talking about it and we just finished a swap on a 99 camaro, dropped it out the bottom piece of cake.

thanks for the info

Did you do it with jacksatnds only or with a lift??

as I've got a 97 with the heads and acesories of and was thinking about pulling it out the top with a crane, but I've been thinking it would be easier out the bottom. Only thing is I'm doing it at home and don't have a lift geuss the easy soltuion is to buy a house with a bigger garage with room for a lift, but that's kind of dreaming

did it entirely with jackstands, took the wheels off and rolled the whole thing out on the rotors

that is how you have to do a fiero and a Furniture Dolly makes it easy
