Temp gage on 93

I have a 93 Z and the temp gage at the dash stopped working. If I replace the temp sensor with that most likely fix it? Does anyone know the simplest way to change that bad boy?

Re: Temp gage on 93

First I would check to make sure the guage is working properly. Unplug the temp sensor and check the guage then bridge the two wires together with like a paper clip or something of that nature and see what happens. It should read extreamly hot on the guage. If it doesn't then you have other problems that need to be addressed. If it does then I would just replace the sensor. Should be like a 22mm wrench or if you can get a socekt on there. Just tape up the threds of the new sensor with some tefhlon(sp?) tape to make sure you won't have a leak.
