suspension problems?

i got a 98 bird about 3 months ago and had no probs with it, but now when the suspension soads or rebounds past a certian point there is a knocking sound. it sounds like something is hitting something hollow. this can be heard inside and out. it isnt extremely loud but it is annoying. it only happens in the drivers rear side. the car has 48,XXX mi on it. I shouldnt need new shocks this soon should I? any help you got let me know thanks

Did you check your trans mount? Might also be the bushings on the pan hard

Exclamation

the noise is only when the driver rear side suspension loads or rebounds past a certian point, and when i get out of the car sometimes it makes the sound. i only weigh like 140 pounds so i dont think it is anything big moving (like the tranny mounts). anymore suggestions?

Interesting, I recently got the same exact noise. Mine might be on the passangers side. If you find out what it is, email me. I'll try to check on mine. It might be the poly bushings on my sway bar. I'll check how tight those are.

What mods do we have in common?

96 camaro
suspension front: 1LE springs, 1LE decarbon shocks, 32mm sway bar w/poly bushings/endlinks.

suspension rear: stock 96 V6 springs, 1LE decarbon shocks, 21mm sway bar w/poly bushings/endlinks, G2 LCAs rod/poly.

I had the exact same problem with my, sinced deceased, 94Z.

It was the pan hard rod. I replaced it with an aftermarket and it went away
