car is stuttering/stalling..

unless I really ease into the gas, my car all of a sudden is stuttering/stalling very badly, if I try to go even past half throttle i can feel/hear the car shaking under my gas pedal right foot, if i dont really feather the clucth and give it gas too from a dead stop it will stutter badly and stall itself..

what is it.. bad spark plug(s)? something more serious ?

My car did, or should I say DOES, the same thing. I've had to take it to get fixed 4 times for the same thing. Each time it's ended up being the plug wires. Apparently, the way the plug wires are routed, the heat from the exhaust manifold keeps melting the wires and causing all sorts of problems. First time it happened it fouled two plugs and caused my cat to clog. Second time it turned out to be the fuel pressure regulator. Third time it was the wires AGAIN. Fourth time....plug wires. and now plug wires again for the fifth time. You'd think they could use longer wires and route them differently, but NOOOOOO!! I'm taking my car in again on Tuesday to get fixed right this time. I'm going into the service dept with a baseball bat, (not really) but it better be fixed right this time cuz I only have 15,000 miles left on warranty. Have your wires, plugs, pressure regulator, and cat checked. My car has the EXACT symptoms your's does, so either one of these components could be your problem. Good luck

Had the same problem. Each time Plug wires 2 and 5 were fried or melted. I no lonmger use the stock wire looms. Just wire tied the wires away from heat. Looks a little sloppy but it saves me from going to get new wires every two weeks.

Do you have a Service Engine Soon light? If it is lit, you can get the code scanned and find out what the problem is.

Sounds like the problem I had about a month ago. I changed out the easier and cheaper things first, cleaned my intake filters and changed the fuel filter. Didn't help...so I changed the wires and plugs. Problem solved.

Not saying for sure thats your problem but it most likely is. Good luck!
