Stock or Performance
Stock or Performance
My fuel pump went out on my 2000 V6 3.8L Camaro, and now I'm searching around the world for one that will fit a V6. I was wondering should I replace it with a performance pump such as a Walbro high pressure pump or with a stock one like a AC delco. If I should go stock, does any know a good pump I can get that's NOT $300??!?! Thanks.
For the GM pump, was the quoted price for the pump itself, or the entire drop in assembly? A high flow aftermarket pump would probably run you around 130 bucks. You could also try a GM wholesale parts supplier and might have more luck finding a GM pump cheaper. http://shbox.com/1/4th_gen_tech2.html#Dal_and_Jason
here ya go i have a 2000 3.8 as well , this place is the cheapiest and has many varities to choose from , and they do core rebates as well http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/x,ca...,parttype,6256
Yea, I think I'm going to go with the performance Walbro pump from APE. Think I'm going to get the LT1 Kit from there. It's a good price for a good pump. I was going to go with the Racetronix plug and play but this maybe just as good for a better price, plus they use the same pump.

I just replaced my pump recently and found a pretty decent deal at Partsamerica.com which is the online version of Advance Auto Parts. I paid something like $228 and drove to a local store to pick it up and saved $50 over what the local store wanted to charge.
Looking closely at the pump it looked exactly like the OEM pump (number stamping and stickers) so I am pretty sure it is a reboxed GM pump. It put out enough fuel for me to go over 120 this weekend...
