Steering Wheel

I'm looking to change my Large Pizza sized steering wheel in my camaro 02
3800 . It has an airbag tho and may be difficult?? Any suggestions as to what type or package to get? I swear if I were tripping while driving , I would probably take a bite out of the thing !!!

Re: Steering Wheel

Yes it is stock. What's gay about it? The only thing I know of that is gay is a guy with a dick in his ***.( no offense) I need something smaller , The steering wheel is like 17 inches in diameter . I dont think they are as big in the 94 and 95's , I know my 92 wasn't huge like this one. It creates a problem with driving sometimes, I'm constantly correcting my steering if I don't use 2 hands and believe me I can drive with the best of them. It just plain sucks...

Re: Steering Wheel

You need a philips screwdriver or a punch to pop the airbag out from the back, a socket, and a steering wheel puller (buy one from pep boys or something). But i dont know why youd want to do that, our steering wheels are the perfect size and shape for grip to handle. One without an airbag and smaller would look cheesy and be more dangerous. But whatever........

Thumbs up Re: Steering Wheel

Is it too big for you to turn or does it take too many revolutions to turn it?
Also I never heard of a girl complain that her steering wheel is to big

Do you know what else is cheesy? Modifying a v6 to make it sound like a v8 !
but whatever... What I was thinking was maybe going to a u pull it and taking a steering wheel with Air Bag Assembly out of an older camaro (cirsuit 92 ish) The wheels in those are smaller.

I dont know a single person who actually modded their car to sound like a V8. I put my exhaust on for sound and performance, not V8 sound and performance. If i wanted that, i could well afford a V8.

Re: Steering Wheel

I don't know if an older airbag system would work on your '02.

Be aware that you won't pass inspection if you tamper with your stock airbags....gotta love jersey
