yes extremely worth it. i have a 2800 stall right now and am kicking myself in the butt for not getting a 3200 or 3500. 2800 is good for daily driving and drag, but if you are like me and care only of the track, then you too would want a 3500.. it would be a beautiful combo with 3.73s. and lock up is what you need cause if it doesnt lock up you will burn out your transmission.

well i was wanting rims but latly i figure i can get gears for $200 slp lsd for $100 and a stall for round 400 or so i would prob get a 2800 so you think lsd 3.73's and a 2800 stall would knock a good second off my 1/4

i am not so sure about a whole second, but i would be mad if it didnt shave .5-.8 sec off. where are you going to get a torque converter for so cheap? just to install a TC cost about $400. install of mine was $345. install of my lsd was $200 and i am getting a steal for a guy to install my gears for $150 + instal kit.

it would be cool to get it all done at the same time and really see the difference, BUT you better upgrade the suspension and tires at the same time or you WILL be dissapointed. once i got the TC i lost traction like a biatch. i had to get panhard bar, LCAs, drag radials to keep from spinning. yeah spinning is fun-if you are not at the track!

Where did you pay this much at? Sorry nino but you got owned by that shop. Most tranny shops will charge 150, 200 at the MOST for a TC install. That makes me hurt to think about you paying that much.
