I have had some problems with my 94 3.4. It seems to vibrate pretty bad sometimes, and when i press on the accelerator, it makes a...you could say "grinding" noise. It seems like it's got to be something w/ the wheels, u joints or something, but it's an engine probelem, b/c when the engine doesn't vibrate it all goes away...it goes away and comes. when it is here though, the whole car vibrates, and i can feel a grinding underneath my feet...i need help..PLEAZ!

 

Check your transmission mount

 

Could it be the flywheel?? Just a guess...

 

Could be but the tranny mount is easier to get at. We'll go through the easy ones first

To add to the tranny mount did you recently do anything that you had to take your drivesahft off for or anything else to the car?

 

I agree with the tranny mount being the source of your problem. If you do a search on either this or the LT1 forum for 'tranny mount' you should get a few threads that'll show ya how to check it. Doesn't take long at all... you're pretty much just looking to see if the mount is broken into 2 pieces A friend of mines '94 Z broke a tranny mount last year. On visual inspection by crawling under the car it looked fine but when you jacked it up just a bit you could see where it was broken.
